Size: 24 to 36 inches tall and wide; blooms 2 to 3 inches in diameter. Bloom Time: Late spring through early fall. On average, black-eyed Susan plants grow 24 to 36 inches tall and wide. If plants are happy, they can spread somewhat aggressively with underground stems and self-sowing. Limit the spread by dividing clumps every four to five years.

Keep the soil moist and warm until the seeds germinate, which typically takes about 2-3 weeks. Once the seedlings have grown a few inches tall, they can be transplanted into the garden. Propagating from division: Divide Black-Eyed Susan every 3-4 years to prevent overcrowding and promote healthy growth.
