Can corsair skyreaver bands be played? I usually play with my friends. We try to stick to the rules of matched play, except for some house rules. But the other day I wanted to try (proxing) this unit but my opponent told me I couldn't because they belong to the legends category. So I wanted a clarification because I would like to try them.

They come in two flavours - Voidreavers, who make up the bulk of a Corsair fleet's crew, and Voidscarred, the cream of the piratical crop, who have a tasty selection of options. Corsair Voidreavers are a Troops choice. Each unit contains between four and nine, plus a Felarch to lead them.

Corsair Reaver Band: This is kind of the basic troop template for future Corsairs, so they'll be discussed in a little bit of detail. At 10 points a model for a unit between 5 and 20, they're pretty cheap, coming with a pretty standard stat-line of WS 4, BS 4, S 3, T 3, I 5, A1, Ld 8/5 and a 5+ save.

Corsair Jet Packs - Five points gets corsairs a jet packs that also grants a 4+ armor saves. Worth taking most of the time, especially given the D6+6″ Reckless Abandon move - which works on any shooting attack including overwatch. Corsair Void Burners - Grants vehicles deep strike for a cheap 5 points. Nice synergy with our next item.

Crossroads of Eternity: The formation may include 0-1 Harlequin Troupe and/or 0-1 Corsair Reaver band (discussed in the next post), which are treated as having the Eldar faction.
