This was one of the absolute worst sauces I have tasted (forget arrabiata). This had nothing to do with Arrabiata.. it was pretty sweet and the tomato quality was too tangy and "canny" eventhough it was Bottled.

Overall, Trader Joe's Arrabiata is a very enjoyable sauce. The flavors are balanced well and we like the kick from the heat that brings it to another level. Our only issue is that the sauce doesn't have a great depth of flavor. The spiciness is great, sure, but this doesn't taste much different than what we imagine a spicy marinara sauce would.

It was almost al dente. Trader Joe's continues to impress me. Take this coming from a Italian who loves to cook sauce from scratch, this bag of precooked pasta would fool many. The Penne Arrabbiata was delicious and I will go on record by stating that I purchased a second bag. Hopefully my great grandmother, Noni, forgives me for enjoying this.

Trader Joe's Arrabiata Sauce Apparently the name of this product translates as "angry" sauce, due to the heat of its chili peppers. It is indeed somewhat spicier than most marinaras, but it hardly rose to the level of inflaming me, either biochemically or emotionally. It was also a little chunkier than I prefer.

The cons: Don't expect the Arrabbiata sauce to blow you away. It's just ok because there is one classic flavor missing. The verdict: For $2.99 you get a bag of pasta that is ready in under 10 minutes.
